Assistant to Alexandre Herchcovitch, bassist in explosive Brazilian band Cansei de ser Sexy, intern at Lanvin, and now designer of Paris-based scarf brand Heart Heart Heart; Iracema Trevisan's is the resume to end all resumes.
Iracema left CSS in 2008 and trained at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris before starting her line in April last year. Released in limited editions of six or seven scarves per style, each series features saturated tropical prints inspired by the palm trees and pastels of Brazil's coastline and the poodles of Paris. With 3-D details, like beaded trim and leather applique, Iracema's designs inhabit a unique space somewhere between scarves and necklaces.
