OC x PFW: Olympia Le-Tan SS14

Olympia Le-Tan's show last night made you wish that more fashion shows involved sharks, nipple tassels, and a sense of humor. She chose the Aquarium de Paris as the setting to match her collection's nautical theme, and as usual, the buzzy late-night atmosphere made it one of the week's highlights. Titled "A Girl in Every Port." the collection was a perfect blend of OLT's signature sweetness and sauciness. It was smooth sailing stockings, suspenders, and matelot stripes from look one on. Kitschy pink dresses were printed with famous sea-related titles—The Old Man and the Sea, Moby Dick—which matched new editions of her famous book-shaped minaudières. Other new accessories included miniature bowling bags stitched with felt ocean liners, wide embroidered belts, and structured puffer fish-shaped clutches. All of these were totally adorbs, and a clever counter to the (literally) cheeky array of rubber shorts and plunging lace-up necklines. All aboard the SS OL-T, we say.
