On Easy Street: Layla Racy FW13

Think of the coolest girl you know, she is always effortless. Her clothes have exactly the right amount of flair but she never looks fussy and her hair is somehow flawlessly unkempt. Brooklyn-based designer Layla Racy has been creating pieces for that girl for seven seasons. For her Fall/Winter 2013 collection she envisioned an innocent girl-next-door dressed in an oversized peacoat and plaid pants with playful polka dots and ruffles peeking through the layers. The end product is a look that can best be summed up as the clothes you wear while sitting outside a café for hours, sipping on hot cocoa and reading Lolita. We took the collection (and a few OC fall pieces) for a spin in an editorial shot by OCer Brooke Gardiner.
