Back in July, on one very sweaty Saturday at MoMA PS1, UK native L-Vis 1990 (known to his parents as James Connolly), rocked our worlds a lil bit. And so we asked the DJ and co-founder of record label Night Slugs to give us some more. Specifically we tapped the recent Brooklyn import for a mixtape, which he duly served up. The result is below. How to describe it? In the musician's own words: "This mixtape is the sound of the metropolis. Abstract elements, forms, and characters gliding past each other in the dark city landscape." Sound intense? It is—in the best, best beat-heavy kind of way, thanks to tracks by Jam City, Bok Bok, Massacooramaan, and more.
