The Belgians are coming! This morning we reintroduce Alexandra Verschueren. For those of you to who her name is unfamiliar, first of all, read our blog! To fill you in: Alexandra is a former student of the Royal Academy (you know, just that institution that brought you the Antwerp Six) and the 2010 winner of the Grand Prix du Jury at the prestigious Festival d’Hyères. For Fall/Winter 2013 she brings us a mellow mix of the kinds of pieces you want to wear every day made with anything but everday fabrics. Taking their shapes from uniforms and work wear, pieces like denim dresses with double-stitched seams, jersey bomber jackets, and shirts with delicate rounded collars, are designed at Alexandra's studio in Antwerp and constructed in Japan with utmost care.
