Paul, who resides in Japan and hails from Glasgow, is basically the ambassador of the Tokyo club scene, running the coolest club night in the Japanese capital, numbers Tokyo. What kind of things do you consider when putting together a mixtape?
My mixes almost always have a theme, so I usually start by picking my favorite tunes that fit within the theme, then it's down to which ones blend the best.
If you could play this mix in any setting, where would it be?
Sipping coconut juice under a palm tree in Thailand, which is exactly what I'm going to be doing every day for the next two and a half months!
You left Glasgow for Tokyo quite a few years ago. What do you miss about Glasgow, but prefer about Tokyo?
I miss my friends, the banter, and Mother India café in Glasgow. I prefer the weather, the stores, and the 24-hour convenience of Tokyo.
