Back to the Future: Band of Outsiders FW13

This season, Scott Sternberg imagined what his very own city of the future would look like, and what its inhabitants would wear. I mean, most people envisage space suits, right? And floating taxis? No, no. For the Band of Outsiders designer the future is an urban utopia in which boys wear, well, Band of Outsiders. In this dreamy prep-topia button-down shirts are currency and sturdy corduroy, flannel, and glen plaid suiting are wardrobe staples. These are fabrics which the designer has come back to time and again. But the look is noticeably more scrubbed-up for the next millennium. The collection's suiting is razor-sharp and even Not a Polo's rugby shirts and sweatpants look smarter than usual with striped ribbed trim. If boys are still wearing Band in a thousand years, freeze me now.
