Why Prism Bikinis Fit So Well

When the swimwear samples arrive at the Prism offices in London, designer Anna Laub makes everyone try them on. "I want to see what they look like on big boobs, small boobs, medium boobs; it's about everyone’s shapes and sizes," she told an interviewer recently. And Prism bikinis really do fit better than any other bikinis. In a world in which it is inexplicably hard to find good bathing suits, Anna has been supplying pieces that are flattering and comfortable and—slow down—actually look good.

This is because Prism's swimwear is designed by someone who clearly understands what wearing a swimsuit is like. On the balconette bikinis and one-pieces, the straps are detachable, giving you support when you want it and no tan lines when you don't. The fabrics are stretchy but never too stretchy (post-swimming pool swimsuit sag: no longer a problem). And each piece comes in a small travel pouch for easy packing. This season offers all-new colors: a swirled inky blue, cool grey, and pale jade. But the shapes, thankfully, are the same and as perfect as ever.
