If you've heard of Roberta's, then there's a good chance you know of Max Sussman, former chef at the famous Bushwick restaurant and home of some of the city's most delicious pizza. (OC loves the Erryday I'm Brusselin' pizza topped with lemony brussel sprouts.) Since leaving Roberta's, Max has been busy lending his expertise to projects left and right––notably the upcoming Sud de France Festival with a phenom-looking tasting event at Donna's on June 16th, as well as a pop-up with cinema-slash-dining room Monkey Town this summer. Max was super cool and invited us over to hang yesterday while he experimented with a new (and absurdly delicious) coconut curry dish with squash, tofu, carrot, and potato.
