Power Shorts and Jungle Prints by Kenzo

These Kenzo shorts (left) are the look. Shorts for men can be tricky—there is a large margin for looking like an awkward 12-year-old—but this boxy knee-length style is spot-on. Pun intended. They're also available in white and a deep jungle green. Because, as you may know, Kenzo's Spring/Summer 2013 collection was inspired by the steamy forests of Thailand. As in the women's collection, there are plenty of snow leopard spots, and for men they're joined by a "mini jungle print" (a kind of exotic pixel pattern), zebra stripes, and a print that sits somewhere between tiger stripes and camo. Shapes are geared towards outdoor wear with functional hooded jackets and cargo pockets. And because this season is all about survival, boys should accessorize with caps with long neck-protecting peaks, and carabine belts—you know, for those unexpected jungle climbs.
