Popsicle sticks stuck to a card that will leave glitter all over the house for the next two months is no longer an acceptable Mother's Day gift. It's time to mom up and get your #1 something fantastic for Mother's Day. Cue our GIFT GUIDE! We're checking in with some of our favorite moms and their kids. Next on deck: Hester Street Fair co-founder and DailyCandy chief correspondent SuChin Pak. Did we mention that she's also Korean-born? Whaddup, OC featured country!

How did you spend your first Mother's Day? I spent my first Mother's Day with some of my favorite moms––my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law! We had a beautiful lunch at the newly re-opened El Encanto hotel in Santa Barbara with the whole family.

Which item from your wardrobe will you be passing onto your son, Kai? It's a shame Kai probably won't fit into any of my shoes, although he's welcome to them all. Maybe he'll bring home a chic girl one day who will appreciate my collection of vintage Hermès belts. That will get the seal of approval from me.

How do you dress Kai? I like to dress him up like a Japanese B-boy who summers in Martha's Vineyard. Is that crazy? I either like to put him in ridiculous outfits that don't match and are colorful and bright, or he's in a baby ascot. It just depends on my mood.

What is your favorite thing to cook Kai? I love experimenting with food for him. He's just getting into texture, so we're just beginning! I love to mix grains like quinoa and amaranth, and add blueberries and peaches.

Favorite things to do together? We just discovered swimming together. I like to get him on his back and sing songs in his ear while he just kind of floats and watches the clouds. It's possibly the best moment I've had with my son.

Favorite fictional mom? The mom in A Christmas Story. There was something so vulnerable about her. And when she loses it, acting like a pig under the table to get her youngest child to eat, that pretty much sums up motherhood for me. I love the idea of being a completely silly mom, which was sort of the opposite of what I had growing up.

What are you hoping to receive for Mother's Day? How can you not love this whimsical, perfect spring Kenzo Satchel? Also, jewelry is always lovely to get. This Mama ring by Nora Kogan is a great reminder of this past year as a new mom.
