Last night I went to the opening party of Fer Sher magazine volume three at The Gallery in Hollywood. The event celebrated the work of three young photographers, Sagan Lockhart, Natalia Mantini, and Josh Terris and their collaborative work featured in the issue. The images on display, capture the reckless and raw energy that thrives in skateboard culture.
The scene was full of skateboarders, many of whom I recognized from the photographs. A candid black and white portrait of Frank Ocean was definitely the crowd favorite. Tyler the Creator and his crew from Odd Future also showed up (much to the joy of the many girls waiting for them outside). Afterwards we hit up the Burgundy Room where The Gallery owner tended the bar while The Internet (also of Odd Future) played everything from Mariah Carey to R. Kelly. Drop by the gallery to view the photographs and purchase a copy of the magazine!
