Popsicle sticks stuck to a card that will leave glitter all over the house for the next two months is no longer an acceptable Mother's Day gift. It's time to mom up and get your #1 something fantastic for Mother's Day. Cue our GIFT GUIDE! For the next two weeks, we'll be checking in with some of our favorite moms and their kids. We catch up with Serafina Sama of Isa Arfen below.
How did you spend your first Mother's Day? Ari was only two-months-old and we had just moved into our new home so we spent our first Mother's Day walking around the new neighborhood and having family naps on the couch.
Which items from your wardrobe will you be passing on to him? I don't think he'll want to wear any of my clothes... but who knows? I'm not throwing anything away in case I have a little girl one day.
How do you dress Ari? He is super active and energetic so most of the time he's wearing jeans, a sweatshirt, trainers, and his military parka—things he can get dirty in! If we go for lunch with the grandparents or to a party he usually wears little striped or checked shirts with a knit pullover and jeans. He always has this preppy/scruffy look that I adore!
What is your favorite thing to cook him? Well, he inherited my Italian genes so pasta is always on the menu! Pan-fried lamb cutlets and roast potatoes are also a big hit (with the whole family).
Favorite things to do together? Sharks are Ari's obsession at the moment, so we often end up at the London Aquarium on the weekend. When it's just the two of us at home, we put on loud music and sing, dance, and play air-guitar together!
Favorite fictional mom? She's not really a role model, but I love Frances McDormand as Christian Bale's mother in Lauren Canyon! I am also a big fan of Mummy Pig (from Peppa Pig).
What are you hoping to receive for Mother's Day? Lots of kisses! One could be in the form of the Delfina Delettrez Two in One Mouth Ring!
