Alexander Wang Gets Its Glow on

Anything that glows in the dark, like anything inflatable, is automatically amazing. Like those little plastic glow dogs? And the planet and star stickers that are probably still on your bedroom ceiling at home? I can't! I love this stuff! When Alexander Wang sent glow-in-the-dark womenswear down his runway last fall I was like a child in a Disneyland commercial. And the glow-in-the-dark clutch, Tri-Fold shoulder bag, and pencil skirt we now have in stores have surpassed my (really high) expectations. Leave them under a lamp for an hour, turn out the lights, and they shine like glow sticks at a rave. The Spring/Summer 2013 collection is also one of Alexander Wang's most technical. There are see-through plastic threads that hold pieces together as if they're floating. There are cutout zebra-print pants. And, as ever, there are masterful knits that nail that perfect stretchy thickness that looks flattering on every body (trust).
