Rev your appetites, Angelenos––Le Grand Fooding (remember when we checked it out in NYC?) is happening in LA this weekend! The urban picnicking Frenchies will be setting up camp outside of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, and le roster is major (it includes Parisian and LA top chefs like Jean-François Piège, Le Chateaubriand's Inaki Aizpitarte, Mozza's Nancy Silverton, Kogi BBQ's Roy Choi, Tois Mec's Ludo Lefebvre, Chateau Marmont's Carolynn Spence among others). This week, we popped by Roy Choi's Korean taco truck.
Mexican food and Korean BBQ are two of SoCal’s favorites, and Kogi BBQ manages to perfectly combine them, with insanely flavorful offerings like tacos piled high with savory short rib, Korean chili-soy vinaigrette greens, and sesame-chili salsa roja ($2.29 each) and quesadillas topped with citrus-jalapeño salsa verde, kimchi, and sesame seeds ($8). You can call that... so LA. Get a load of our lunch here, and get excited about this weekend's (highly promising) food-tivities.
Keep up with the Kogi BBQ Taco Truck's whereabouts on the Kogi website. Twenty percent of Le Fooding ticket sales support L.A. Food Bank & MOCA.
