How many St. Petersburg, FL gangsters do you know who reek of Calvin Klein Escape and can play Britney Spears' "Everytime" on the piano? By our count, James Franco’s SPRING BREAKERS character Alien is the one and only. If you saw the film, you know that he got his name because he's "not form this planet, y’all" -- and Alien is definitely pretty far out. As unlikely as the role was for James, it’s almost impossible to imagine it played by anyone else after seeing the film. Franco’s on- and off-screen homies the ATL Twins were quick to sing his praises in a recent conversation over the phone, "He’s always on. He never fucks up a scene." Figuring that they were right, we decided to bypass James and talk to Alien for some insight into our favorite eternal Spring Breaker.

Alien: Yoooo whats up. It’s Alien.

Daria Radlinski: Heyyy, what’s goin’ on?
Alien: Just chillin' in my crib, you know, in ma bed.

What do you do when you wake up in the morning?
Normally, I get up before the coffee came in. It’s embarassin’ but, I would check on the Internet and see if anything’s been written about me. I check up on whatever everybody was sayin'. I realized I had an addiction to all that, to the Google. I’ve sworn off it, so that’s no longer a part of my routine––in the morning, in the day, or at night.

Describe your perfect vacation.
I kind of live a vacation every day. I don’t know what I’d change other than it could be palm trees in a new place. Every day is a vacation for me.

If I came down to St. Petersburg for a weekend, where would you take me?
Oh, St. Petes? Well, we would definitely cruise on down to the boardwalk and see what’s goin’ on, ya know? It’s always nice out there. At night, it’s goin’ off over at the pool hall. We’d have a good ol’ time.

What is the best thing about being you?
About being Alien? Well, let’s see. I guess I just get to do whatever I want. If I dream it, I can do it. It’s a position that I know a lot of people would love to be in, but it’s my reality.

What’s the worst thing about being you?

Fuckin' cornrows. They itch like a motherfucker. Style over comfort.

What's the first thing you bought when you started getting money?
Definitely bought my trap—that’s what we call a house. I got my car, definitely. I had to get the rims and special glow-in-the-dark alien. You’ve got to look right, so I made sure I always had the clothes, that kind of thing.

Describe your style. I love your chains.
I wouldn’t say it’s straight up gangster; I got a little bit of flash, and a lil' fun goes with it. I got a lil' bit of shit from some of my friends, like Dangeruss. He criticized my style a lil' bit for being too flamboyant, but I like it because it makes me stand out.

Tell me about your tattoos. Which one is your favorite?

I like all of ‘em. I got a lot of local references; I got to represent Florida. I got to represent the 727, you know. I got a great one that not too many people have seen because it’s on my chest, but it’s got a little alien stepping through a door, it’s like he’s coming right out.

What do you look for in a girlfriend?
I guess she just got to be on the same level, you know? I live without rules; I don’t obey the same kind of rules as everybody else, and that can be hard for some people to deal with
