'La Maison, L'Été' by Jacquemus

I accidentally ended up with a HuluPlus subscription this month (obviously I forgot to unsubscribe after my free trial ended). So I have been watching a lot of Criterion Collection movies—the DVDs are also on sale at OC Ace, FYI! With this in mind, I can tell you that Jacquemus' spring collection is like the wardrobe for an Éric Rohmer film. Titled "La maison, L’été 2013," the collection was made for amorous lounging in houses in the South of France (where designer Simon Porte Jacquemus grew up). Think classic French pieces—pinafore dresses and boxy shirts—with choppy Nouvelle Vague cuts and hits of color like stripes on a Riviera parasol. There's even a fine mesh fabric called "mosquito net." Check out the collection here and, if you haven't already, use your free trial to watch La Collectionneuse.
