Soviet Sportswear and Skater Kids by Gosha Rubchinskiy

Old-school skate wear and Soviet-era Olympic sportswear inform Gosha Rubchinskiy's spring collection. Produced in conjunction with Comme des Garçons, the offering also references 90s Russian club culture ("my favorite mood," says Gosha). "We used simple cuts—sweatshirts with zips and some color, made from different kinds of cotton, mohair, and light wool. It's a uniform for clubbing," he says. As usual, Gosha photographed the looks on a friend—a skater from his hometown, Moscow. Check out the lookbook images and a video, below. Look out for translucent rubber logo labels, Cyrillic lettering, and cut-off hems. Of special note: a long-sleeve tee covered in a photo print, which Gosha created from screengrabs of old video footage shot at Russian summer camps. Two tickets to Moscow, please.
