OC x LFW: Simone Rocha FW13

Simone Rocha's Fall/Winter collection, titled “Respect Your Elders,” was a tribute to both of Simone's grandmothers, Margaret Gleeson and Cecelia Rocha. Sherbet tones, shimmering black and cream tweeds, faux leopard furs, and a touch of jet-black patent made for a lady-like collection. Details such as high necklines, tortoiseshell print skirts, and flower appliqués furthered the elegant and refined nature of the collection, while quirky elements (crocheted eyewear and veiled headdresses) emphasized Simone’s signature playful aesthetic. Models wore low-heeled loafers in velvet, patent, leopard, and glitter—reminiscent children's footwear (Suri Cruise-style!). Overall, the collection struck a great balance between what is youthful and what is grown-up.
