"Do you know Jeanette from Dump.fm? She's here." Someone in the pitch-black space at the Eyebeam Art + Technology Center last night was referring to Jeanette Hayes, the reigning queen of the image-based chatmosphere, artist, and OC model. Jeanette, like many of the twenty-somethings packing the gallery, had come to check out the digitally-charged works. Among them were a .gifpumper display, a sound chamber of bizarre and unidentifiable whirring sounds, an app-based interactive piece, and a 15'x15'x15' 3D installation that required no glasses to view (check out the video below, it's a trip).
