“I’m really here for the cookies,” Band of Outsiders buddy Aziz Ansari joked at the brand’s women's Fall/Winter 2013 show. Ok, fine, the Lady Grey-flavor cookie was top notch—but the clothes were pret-ty worth writing home about as well.
Scott Sternberg described the collection's aesthetic as “A strange and wonderful place in space where Billie Holiday and Atari meet.” Which was pretty accurate, as Billie Holiday tunes played in the venue before the lights dimmed. Once they did, Atari sound effects boomed to draw attention to knits patterned with video game graphics.
Makeup artist Dick Page created a shadow across each girl's forehead and eyes to mimic the would-be shadow created by the brim of the towering knit baseball cap and turban hybrid that was paired with nearly every look (an updated version of Billie’s signature). Check out all the looks here!
