Wondering what's in store for the big 2K13? OC alum, tie-dye aficionado, and astrology guru with a regular DIS magazine column Morgan Rehbock (@MercuryinMorgan) explains it all in his ASTROLOGY IRL 2013 calendar, now available at OC. With photography by CHRISTELLE DE CASTRO and graphic design by Romina Cenisio, the monthly calendar is sprinkled with wise predictions like "Mars drinks a 32 oz. Redbull today when it enters its favorite sign Aries," and "This is the 'ME FIRST' moon... Get a makeover", and plenty of Internet-speak. I checked in with Morgan recently; find out what he has to say about the planetary shifts, the next season of TLC's Long Island Medium, Snapchat, and the most underused hashtag on Twitter.

Sofia Cavallo: First things first––the theme of #THEINTERNET is very prevalent in your calendar. What was your first screen name?

Morgan Rehbock: Morgan2000M.

SC: Omg, so millenial! And love that M-symmetry going on. My first S/N was also pretty #basic and based on my name. (Foforules, because one of my old nicknames is Fo). Let's talk about the people who made this calendar happen.
Morgan Rehbock: Creating the calendar was a totally fun collaborative process between myself, photographer Christelle de Castro, and graphic designer Romina Cenisio. Christelle photographed the twelve signs of the zodiac in her totally transcendent studio and creative agency, Stoneman Creative, in Williamsburg, and Romina created out-of-this-world graphics based on the astrological information I provided. She truly has magical powers on Photoshop! Styling the calendar was a collaborative process between myself and Romina, and we enlisted friends Eckhaus Latta, Luar Zepol, and Raffaella Hanley of Lou Dallas XXL, who generously lent us their cosmic creations.

SC: Sounds very cosmically cool. Why make this calendar?
MR: We're entering one of the most important years in the history of consciousness. The planets are protesting the status quo, and we are literally occupying the cosmic shift! I wanted to put together a calendar with information that can help the whole zodiac navigate the tricky planetary pathway towards ultimate enlightenment.

SC: By and large, what will 2013 look like for us all?
MR: Let me tell you a little bit more about two of the hugely important planetary situations that rule this year, both of which have been brewing millenially. The Uranus/Pluto square will be shifting trends all year long, with important updates in May and November. Uranus and Pluto invoke the same planetary energy that created Hippie culture and the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s, so we can expect to see new global movements for social justice and political change take shape this year.

Neptune returned to its absolute favorite sign of Pisces last year, and it will have a romantic influence on art and fashion until 2026. 2013 will be all about dreaminess, #chill vibes, and getting into poetry. We will also see an increased interest in psychic energy, and communication with the other side. I predict the next season of Long Island Medium is going to have amazing ratings.

There is a huge planetary focus on water and earth signs in 2013 that will help us build and transform our personal and collective universe(s). The air and fire signs will be happy to have a break too! Saturn moves through Scorpio
