London Collections: Men - J.W. Anderson Mens FW13

Although relatively new to the elite of young London designers, in his last few seasons Jonathon Anderson has made quakes in the fashion world quite unlike anyone else. That's why this morning, the anticipation to see his Fall/Winter 2013 collection couldn't be veiled. Today marked a pivotal moment for J.W. Anderson, as after the show it was clear that the brand was headed in a new and unexpected direction.

Male models wore mini dresses and high-waisted, thigh-skimming shorts with peplum hems that dramatically threw ideas of gender roles and private sexual desire together. Bourgeois sexuality and S&M echoed through every look with each model wearing black leather knee high boots finished with a frill. Some looks were more wearable, such as the outerwear made with mohair wool in pastel blue and camel, as well as the simple knits emblazoned with a plain colored circle. The direction of J.W Anderson's Fall/Winter collection was surprising to many, but it was innovative, immaculate, and sure as hell kinky.
