The holiday season is upon us, and this year it's time to HOLIDAY YOUR WAY! We asked Dallas Clayton, the awesome author and illustrator of An Awesome Book, to curate a holiday gift guide for kids! Keith Haring x Vilac yo-yos and umbrellas, Instax cameras, pens and notepads—this guy has clearly been in the dad game for a while!

Be sure to share your holiday photos, stories, and what's on your OC wishlist with #HolidayYourWay

"As a parent, keeping a pocket-sized NOTEBOOK in your car/backpack/purse is owning a magical portal to another dimension. It can be a game center, a homework helper, a dream factory, creator of tiny paper footballs and origami frogs, a secret keeper, or even a simple place to add notes to your ever-changing letter to Santa. Crucial purchase."

"When I was 18, seven friends and I lived in a two-bedroom apartment in Hollywood. We'd stay out all night being ridiculous and wake up at three in the afternoon and play dominoes for several days straight. We got so competitive that we'd bring them with us to bars and nightclubs and set up games in the park. Now that I'm a bit older, I wake up at 7am and spend most of my hours drawing unicorns, but I still find time to play dominoes over breakfast with my son before school starts. It's a great way to teach him math and how to think on his feet, and this KEITH HARING set helps to foster an appreciation for one of the greats. Keith Haring + dominoes + kids = victory!"

"I write kids books, so I'm always looking for a pen, pencil, or something to draw with. The thing is, much like socks, pens and pencils just seem to have a way of disappearing. No matter how many I buy, within a month they've all but vanished. About 10 Christmases ago, my son's mom bought me one of these wooden pens (mine was in the shape of a monkey, not an ELEPHANT). At first I thought it was just cute and absurd but I soon realised the magic of it—if you own a big, funny wooden pen shaped liked an animal, no one ever takes it by mistake. It never gets lost, no one ever thinks it's theirs. It's almost like owning the pen they chain to the counter at the bank. Your own personal hilarious pen security system. So simple. So easy. Such a good investment. I should know, I've had mine for almost a decade."

"The other day, out of the blue, my son decided to get really into yo-yoing. How? Why? Who knows. Kids do that sometimes. One day it's LEGO, the next day it's drawings of giant tropical fish. Anyhow, I picked him up a YO-YO and by the end of the week he'd seen enough yo-yo YouTube videos to know how to do tricks that I'd never even heard of. Don't you wish your weeks were like that? Don't you
