For $4.00, Hoomoos Asli on Kenmare slathers it in heaps onto a warm, pillowy pita. Topped with an Israeli salad of diced tomatoes and cukes, the Hummus Sandwich is then drizzled in either tahini sauce or a brick-red spicy dressing with a real kick. We popped in for lunch and also scarfed down the $5.00 Falafel Sandwich "(NYC's best!)." We'll leave it to you to decide on the accolade. But as far as we're concerned, for a straightforward hummus-based meal, the price is absolutely right.
