'One Day, One Show': Mark Gonzales Pops Up in London

Last Friday, for one night only, street skating pioneer, Mark Gonzales, presented One Day, One Show at the home of HUCK Magazine in Shoreditch. Elin, Sarah, Meghan and I felt privledged to be a part of the action and as four girls who don’t skate, we quickly got ourselves an education on nose-dives, ollies, tail-slides, and grinds. Created in the week preceding the show, during an impromptu visit to London, the series consists of pencil sketches (ripped straight from his sketchbook), postcards, poetry, and large-scale multimedia scrolls. "The Gonz", as he is affectionally known in the skating community, kept it real, signing artwork and other paraphernalia throughout the night.
