Postcard from CMJ Festival: Yvette

We checked in with some of our favorite artists during this year's CMJ music marathon.

On my last night of CMJ I ventured deep into Bushwick, Brooklyn to catch the noisy and hypnotic band Yvette. The duo creates songs drenched in soaring feedback and esoteric electronics, but in their capable hands, these abrasive ingredients become haunting, pulsating, tribal, and anthemic. Seeing them live is completely enveloping––an experience you want to have over and over. See how Noah Kardos-Fein and Rick Daniel answered our CMJ questionnaire below.
