We checked in with some of our favorite artists during this year's CMJ music marathon.
As this year's Stereogum/Popgun CMJ showcase headliners, Dum Dum Girls are a band that scarcely needs an introduction at this point. After a string of enormously well-received albums and EPs and heavily attended tours, it was no surprise to find a line stretching around the block to get into their instantly sold-out show at Brooklyn's Glasslands Gallery.
Displaying an effortlessly cool command of the stage, Dum Dum Girls ran through a set that included material from most of their discography, as well as an excellent cover of the Pale Saints' "Sight of You." Despite the fact that every other band that night was also amazing, Dum Dum Girls reminded everyone in attendance why they were more than worth the wait.
