Stuck in Argentina with nothing but a couple of "Where's the nearest restroom, please" phrases in your vocabulary? Our Argentinean Slang Book is here to save your trip, and who knows, maybe your life! WIth phrases ranging from "I don't work weekends––no way!" to "My ex-girlfriend drives me nuts," you'll be taken for a local in no time.

FIrst up is bárbaro for the guys or bárbara for the girls. Literally translated as "barbarian," locals use this as slang to mean, "so great!" or "hot!" For example, "Tu vestido de Opening Ceremony está bárbaro!" Meaning, "Your Opening Ceremony dress is amazing!"
